During a commanding performance, England secured one more triumph versus Albania, with multiple squad members turning in memorable performances throughout the game.

First-choice XI

The goalkeeper Had little to do required in the first half before tested from an opponent's curling effort. A sliding intervention against Qazim Laci highlighted his anticipation. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested against Albania’s biggest threat through Hoxha. Started in a central role to begin with then shifted to the flank once a teammate entered the fray. 7

John Stones Advanced into midfield when in possession, as he has done previously. At times lacked urgency when carrying play and the approach abandoned at half-time. 6

Dan Burn A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, per usual, but may be another option for his teammate in defense instead of paired with him. A careless ball after the break came close to the first goal from the visitors. 6/10

The young full-back One more confident performance by the rising star following his first cap against another side. Saka failed to make the opportunity from a gorgeous backheel over the Albania defence. The role looks secure at this stage. 7

The midfielder Deliveries from corners and free kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed freedom to move down the left flank only to be in an offside position as the pass came with a chance to score. Granted a merited break after an hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker netting 77th and 78th strikes in an England shirt. His first a trademark poacher’s finish and his next a classy headed goal having drifted away from his marker. Aged 32, he’s only getting better with the national team are strong contenders next summer with him up top. Eight

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to influence play out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity when set up from a teammate however the keeper denied him. Rashford made much more of an impact in his place. 5/10
