The head of the Justice Department, the Attorney General, accepted her stepping down on Monday. In a statement that the court's "flawed" ruling made it unworkable for Habba to perform her duties.
"Let no one confuse compliance for surrender," she wrote. "My fight will now stretch across the country."

The 41-year-old attorney, first joined the former president's legal defense in recent years. She went on to represented Trump in his business records case in New York last year, which resulted in his conviction on multiple felony counts of financial record manipulation.
Prior to her appointment to the federal prosecutor position, Trump had stated he was appointing her as his presidential counsellor during his second administration, calling her as deeply loyal and a dedicated fighter for justice.
