Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
